Find out how to carry out creative evaluation with your audiences.

This toolkit is designed to help independent cinema exhibitors think about inclusive evaluation in a practical way. It not only serves to help cinemas collect valuable data, but can counteract survey fatigue and result in better connection with audiences, as well as deeper understanding about what cinema means to our communities. All that, and you get to make gathering data a more accessible experience too.

The toolkit will help you consider:

  • What evaluation really is and why we do it
  • How it can support inclusion
  • Inclusive principles when conducting evaluation
  • How to use more creative evaluation methods
  • How to write great questions and get the most out of it
  • Best practice and avoiding common pitfalls

This resource was commissioned by Film Hub Wales as part of the Inclusive Cinema project, developed by BFI FAN for UK screen exhibitors, and we’re excited to share it with you. Let us know if and how it works for you and we hope it helps you connect more meaningfully with audiences and meet your evaluation challenges.
