Build Your Own Film Night

A workshop package devised by Flatpack in 2017, giving young people the skills and knowledge to put on their own pop-up film events, and picking up loads of useful skills along the way. More than 50 film events have taken place across the Midlands.

CineQ Queer Film Festival

After a programming gap in 2017, FEDS trainee Rico Johnson-Sinclair set up a queer film night in Birmingham in focus of LGBTQIA+ people of colour, in partnership with Centrala in Digbeth, CineQ held bi-monthly screenings of shorts, docs and features.

Strategic Interventions

Since 2018 Flatpack has led a series of programming interventions designed to develop new audiences for film by embedding screenings within other contexts. This has included both arts and non-arts events, gaming, sports, heritage and education.
